What went wrong
A flutter kick over a silty floor in an overhead environment stirred up silt and brought visibility to zero. Poor kick choice and buoyancy control caused it.
Footage of an open-water style flutter kick stirring silt in the Blue Grotto cavern in Florida until visibility drops to zero. It shows how quickly a cavern can silt out.
Why divers recommend it
Divers cite it as a clear example of what silt-out looks like and how fast things can go bad in an overhead.
